Opt Out

You can opt out of marketing emails, texts and calls from A. Q. Mufti-Sales Rep at any time. You do not need to give a reason, and it will not affect any work we are already doing for you.

The quickest ways to opt out

  • Emails — use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message we have sent you.
  • Texts — reply STOP to any message.
  • Anything else — email info@aqmuftirealty.com or call 416-908-5600 and say you would like to opt out.

What happens after you opt out

We handle these requests by hand, so it is not instant. However, we will action yours as soon as we reasonably can, and in any case within 10 business days — the outside limit Canada’s anti-spam law allows.

During that window you may still receive something already in progress. Once it is done, we will confirm by email. If you have not heard from us in 10 business days, please chase us, because it means something went wrong at our end.

What opting out does and does not stop

It stops marketing: newsletters, market updates, property alerts, and promotional calls or texts.

It does not stop us replying to a question you have asked us, or contacting you about something we are already working on together. Those are not marketing, and stopping them would leave your enquiry unanswered.

If you would rather we did not contact you at all, just say so and we will treat it that way.

Removing your information altogether

Opting out stops the messages. If you also want the information you have given us deleted, ask and we will do that too.

One limit is worth knowing about. Where we have worked together on a transaction, we are required to keep certain records for a period set by law and by our professional obligations. We cannot delete those until that period has passed, and we will tell you if it applies to you. Everything else can go.

See our Privacy Policy for what we hold and why.

If we get it wrong

If you have asked to opt out and messages keep arriving, tell us directly at info@aqmuftirealty.com and we will fix it.

If you are still not satisfied, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for unwanted commercial messages.
